Note: Registration for these sessions is now closed.

ALung is recruiting ICU nurses to be part of a User Advisory Group.

Participants will work directly with ALung’s engineering and clinical staff, helping test new designs and enhancements of the Hemolung RAS.

We have an immediate need for 10 nurses to participate in user testing sessions schedule for late-August and early-September. Participants will be required to attend a 3-hour training session and a subsequent 1-hour Q&A session at ALung’s facility located on the South Side of Pittsburgh.

During the first session, you will be trained to use our Hemolung RAS system. In the second session, you will be asked to simulate setting up the device for use on a patient. This is a process called usability testing which helps us optimize the design of our products for the clinical environment. Nursing input and testing is critical to this process.

Stipends in the amount of $200 will be provided to those successfully completing both sessions. Lunch or dinner will also be provided.

Attend one of the following 3 hour sessions:

  • Thursday, August 21, 2014 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

A single 1 hour follow-up session in early September will be scheduled individually.

  • Currently working in Critical Care Unit or Intensive Care Unit (adult preferred)

Prior to the sessions, participants will be asked to provide informed consent and also complete a brief questionnaire.
